Anyone over the age of 18 and speaking Lithuanian can volunteer as a telephone befriender, regardless of their profession, education or country of residence. You don't need any psychology skills or qualifications, your personal experience and willingness to communicate work best. The ability to have empathy towards older people is one of the most important qualities to have.
